Allied Brokers History
Ben Grammar started this agency all the way back in the 1950’s. After graduating from CAL, Ben headed across the Bay into Stanford Territory, and Allied has been operating out of the Palo Alto area ever since.
Ron Bland had been providing Employee Benefits to Allied’s clients for over 15 years, including Group Health and high-end Life Insurance. When Ben started looking for a succession plan, he didn’t have to look far.
For decades, Ron had been working with Property & Casualty specialist, James Hawkins. Jim and Ben hit it off immediately, and in 2021 the business ownership was transferred to these two partners. Ben stayed on as consultant and friend, until his death in 2023.
